How to delete your account

Option 1: From the app

1. Open the Treacle app
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap Delete Account
4. Confirm deletion when prompted

Option 2: By email

Send an email to privacy@mytreacle.com from the email address associated with your Treacle account with the subject line “Delete My Account”. We will process your request within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from all our systems:

• Your profile information (name, email, date of birth, gender, photos)
• Voice session transcripts and extracted personality signals
• Your personality profile (“soul graph”) and all embedding vectors
• Attraction preferences
• Chat messages with the AI companion
• Match history and messages with other users
• Profile photos and face scan data
• Connected service data (Google, Apple Music)
• Push notification tokens
• Analytics data linked to your account

What data is retained

The following data is retained after account deletion for legal and compliance purposes:

• Consent logs — Records of what you consented to and when, retained for 7 years as required by data protection law
• Abuse reports — If your account was involved in safety reports, anonymised records may be retained for user safety

Important notes

• Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your data cannot be recovered once deleted.
• If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account:
  • iOS: Cancel via Apple ID > Subscriptions in your device settings
  • Android: Cancel via Google Play > Subscriptions
• Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request across all systems (database, graph database, file storage).
